Here's what you do: Set the filter in a spot where settling will not occur, such as a cement pad or an equipment pad. There are 3 pipes to hook up. One of these is from your pump and it is marked on the Multiport valve "PUMP". Run this to the pressure side of your pump. You will run a pipe back to the pond or to the UV and then the pond out of the opening marked "RETURN". One last pipe to hook up and that is the waste line. It is marked "WASTE" on the valve. If you desire you may run the Sludge Drain and the Waste from the Multiport in the same line. This waste water can go your garden, yard or sewer drain. Now it's time to put all the beads into the filter. Using the special wrench supplied with your filter open the top access cap of the filter. Swing the upper spray bar out of the way. It's ok, it's made to swivel, so move it slightly so you can easily allow the beads to drop into the filter. Empty all of the beads into the filter, return the spray bar to it's original top center position and replace the top cap. It's now time to fire up the unit and sit back and enjoy healthy clear water for you and your fish. Got Questions? Give us a call, we'll help you through it.
